| Domestic abuse is an
intentional act used to gain power and control over another person.
Abusive or controlling acts may include emotional and verbal abuse,
threats, isolation, intimidation, sexual abuse, economic control and
physical abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Program provides services for survivors experiencing
domestic abuse in their lives.
- Program offers temporary shelter, support, advocacy, counseling
and immediate help.
- Counseling and support are also provided for victims who choose
not to stay in the shelter.
- Ongoing support groups are provided; call (231) 347-1572 or
the WRC office in your community to determine the time and
location.
