Children’s Learning Center
“I absolutely love everything about this place.”
~Parent of an Enrolled CLC Child
The Children’s Learning Center (CLC) is a popular preschool and childcare option for many area working families and their children who are age 2-1/2 through 11. We have worked with hundreds of children and families since opening our doors in 1982.
- Enriched, educational environment
Lesson plans reflect a nationally recognized curriculum which supports children in all areas of development.
- Fully-licensed and highly rated
The CLC is “an excellent program,” has a wonderful space, staff are positive and appropriate with the children and the whole center runs very well, according to a Michigan licensing renewal consultant.
- Attentive staff and teachers
Our dedicated staff consistently earns high marks from parents and kids, alike. The lead teacher is licensed and certified with an Early Childhood Endorsement. CLC staff receives ongoing training.
- Project FREE preschool
Project FREE is a state-funded school readiness program for four-year-olds. Certified teachers focus on building students’ social and academic skills for a smooth transition into kindergarten. Project FREE operates October through May each year. Although there is no cost to families, eligibility requirements do exist.
- Before school, after school and summer programs
Do your school-age children have a safe place to go after school? Our before and after school programs are a great option for working families concerned about leaving kids unsupervised. Enrolled students can come here on snow days, half days and teacher in-service days, too. Summer programming keeps kids active and engaged with everything from gardening, sports and water-fun days to cooking and crafts.
- Full and half-days available
- Fees based on scheduled days of care
- 10% discount for additional enrolled sibling
- Enrollments are accepted throughout the year
- Open year round, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
