Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan Announces Consolidation of Gold Mine Resale Shops
PETOSKEY, Mich. — Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) announces plans to strengthen and grow the Gold Mine Resale Shop program through the strategic consolidation of Gold Mine Resale Shop South with Gold Mine Resale Shop North, creating new opportunities for future growth, enhanced community engagement, and long-term sustainability.
This transition reflects WRCNM’s ongoing commitment to thoughtfully evolving its programs to best meet community needs while maximizing impact across its five-county service area.
“Gold Mine South has been an important part of our story for decades,” said Gail Kloss, WRCNM Executive Director. “We are incredibly grateful to every volunteer, donor, shopper, staff member, and community supporter who helped build and sustain the Gold Mine program over the years. Their generosity has helped provide safety, support, healing, and hope to thousands of individuals and families. This transition allows us to bring the strength of both locations together as we continue growing and serving the Petoskey community through our Gold Mine Resale Shop North location.”
Gold Mine Resale Shops play a vital role in supporting WRCNM’s mission, with proceeds directly funding essential programs and services. Community members are encouraged to continue shopping and donating at both Gold Mine locations in Petoskey during this transition. Additional details regarding final sales, store closing dates, and plans for the Emmet Street location will be announced soon.
