Oleson’s Food Stores in Petoskey and Charlevoix are hosting a Dollar Drive November 14 through Thanksgiving Day. Shoppers may donate a dollar at checkout to support families seeking refuge from domestic abuse at the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan Safe Home. Dollars raised help buy milk, eggs and other Safe Home needs. The Oleson Foundation will match the first $1,000 raised. 

The Safe Home is staffed and operated 24/7 and provides support, shelter, meals and all daily needs to survivors in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet and Otsego counties at no cost.  Oleson’s is at 2000 US-31 North in Petoskey, and 112 Antrim Street in Charlevoix.
