Grain Train Natural Foods Market ~ Gift Card Giving Tree
Through December 7

Want to donate a gift card? Go to Grain Train and select a tag off the tree or send a gift card directly to WRCNM, 423 Porter Street, Petoskey, MI 49770, by December 8 to share with families in time for the holiday.
McLean and Eakin Booksellers ~ The Giving Tree
November 29 – December 15
307 East Lake Street, Petoskey
McLean and Eakin Booksellers hosts ‘The Giving Tree’ to support families staying at WRCNM’s Safe Home. Bookstore staff have decorated The Giving Tree with ornaments representing the ages of children at the Safe Home, a secure and compassionate place where women and their family members can heal from the physical and emotional trauma of domestic abuse.
Shoppers may select an ornament on the tree which will help guide them in their purchase of an age-appropriate book to donate. McLean and Eakin will wrap each donation with seasonal paper and ribbon.
WRCNM Executive Director Gail Kloss said, “The Giving Tree benefit, like the children’s book by the same name, reminds us that life is often difficult and complicated and what is most important are acts of love and kindness and being there for other people when they need it most.”
Ward and Eis Gallery ~ Gifts Twice Given
Saturday, December 9 and 16
315 East Lake Street, Petoskey
Ward and Eis Gallery hosts their annual ‘Gifts Twice Given’ benefit on the Saturdays of December 9 and 16, during which 20% of all sales will be donated to support transformative and empowering services provided through WRCNM.
These two special December Saturdays are an opportunity to select beautiful gifts for your loved ones, and also make a profound difference in the lives of adult and child survivors of abuse and assault who reach out for vital WRCNM services.
Gallery owner Jennifer Eis shared, “Our customers have made ‘Gifts Twice Given’ a part of their holiday traditions because they know that their purchases here provide hope, healing, and vital support to community members and their families who have been impacted by abuse and assault.”
This event is part of Ward and Eis Gallery’s enduring commitment to uplift and assist those in the community who need sustenance, shelter, and support that strengthens the mind, body, and spirit. The gallery also contributes to local nonprofits 3% of all annual sales and the proceeds from the sale of the Magpie Papers book co-authored by Don Ward and Jennifer Eis.
WRCNM Executive Director Gail Kloss expressed her gratitude: “For 40 years, Ward and Eis Gallery has been a steadfast friend and supporter of area nonprofits, including Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan. Jennifer Eis and her staff are helping build a more resilient and compassionate community through their ongoing philanthropy.”
Safe Home ~ Harvest Food and Supply Drive
Contributions to the Harvest Food and Supply Drive are a meaningful way to support women and families in our community seeking safety from domestic abuse at WRCNM’s Safe Home.
Last year, while meeting the daily needs of families utilizing Safe Home services, more than 2,170 nights of shelter and 6,500 meals were provided at no cost. Donations of grocery gift cards and financial contributions enable staff to buy exactly what is needed at any given time; nonperishable donations are also accepted.
Deliver donations to WRCNM’s main office located at 423 Porter Street, Petoskey and Gold Mine Resale Shops. To arrange for pick-up of items, call (231) 347-1572. The Safe Home needs list is online.
