Virtual counseling services brings the comfort and care you receive at our counseling offices directly to you by way of an online Zoom meeting or by phone.

What is virtual counseling?

WRCNM offers counseling, advocacy and therapy services by phone or online via Zoom for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking and trafficking.  Virtual counseling is all about meeting you, where you are at.  It is about providing you with options for accessing WRCNM’s professional staff of Advocates and Therapists in a way that is convenient, safe, confidential and comfortable for you.

Why do we offer virtual services?

Virtual services are a flexible option that have several advantages:

  • Convenient
  • No cost
  • Confidential
  • Saves time traveling to/from appointments
  • No transportation needed
  • An option if you have limited mobility
  • Very private and secure (VAWA compliant)
  • No child care is needed if the child is old enough to be in another room or has someone who can watch them at the home
  • Can be safer – we will talk with you about safety concerns for your specific situation
  • Can be worked into your lunch hour
  • You may be able to get an appointment online/by phone sooner than in-person

Who are the Advocates/Therapists you will meet with?

WRCNM professionals you meet with virtually, are the same staff members who meet with survivors in our northern Michigan offices.
