The Most Festive Evening of the Season
Giving Back to The Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan and Local Area Schools
The 2nd annual Bay Harbor Holidazzle event features a Santa Fun Run 1K/3K, a lighted parade on Main Street and the Village Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 13.
At 4 p.m., come trot, skip or run in the 2nd annual Santa Fun Run 1K/3K along a special mapped route starting on Main Street in the Village at Bay Harbor. Enjoy fun “stations” hosted by event sponsor elves along the route. Creative costuming is encouraged. All runners will receive a cool Santa Fun Run tee and goodies post-race. Participants may choose the 1K or 3K option for the Fun Run; perfect for all ages. All proceeds from the event benefit the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan to provide for local families in need this holiday season. To register or donate visit: www.bayharborsantarun.eventbrite.com.
The Holidazzle Lighted Parade on Main Street features lighted floats created by local schools and children’s organizations, starting at 6 p.m. The parade will be led by the Petoskey Steel Drum Band Double-Decker Bus. All local school classrooms, sports teams and children’s organizations may register for the parade for a chance to win cash prizes to give back to their group. Although floats do not have to be holiday-themed, creativity counts toward earning 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at $750, $500 or $350, respectively. For more information or to register, contact Chelsea Cannon at [email protected] or 231-439-2024.
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., ring in the holiday cheer in style during the Village at Bay Harbor Open House. Merchants will have sales, appetizers and spirits in their shops and restaurants. DJ J2xTrubl (aka Johnnie Walker) will be spinning favorite holiday tunes and announcing winners in the Santa Fun Run and floats in the lighted pararde.
