Community Grant Program funds survivor services

Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan received grant funding for domestic abuse and sexual assault services provided in Otsego County from the Otsego Community Foundation. Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) received a $7,500.12 grant from the Community Fund, Brenden Gorney Fund and Dr. Patrick J. McNamara Fund of the Otsego Community Foundation.

The grant supports WRCNM domestic abuse and sexual assault services for survivors in Otsego County, providing them with crisis counseling and ongoing services to help them in their healing journey.

“We are grateful for this financial support,” said Gail Kloss, WRCNM Executive Director. “The dollars will be helpful in serving the needs of domestic abuse and sexual assault survivors who live in Otsego County and who reach out to the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan for counseling, advocacy and support, as well as shelter at the Safe Home.”

Community Grant Program funding partners include: the Kiwanis Club of Gaylord, Otsego Community Foundation, Otsego Wildlife Legacy Society, Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital, Otsego County United Way and Rotary Club of Gaylord.
