Allison Racignol (from left), Karmen Love and Sarah Krull staff members at Gold Mine Resale Shop North, fill a door prize gift basket for the store’s fifth anniversary which will also include cookies, refreshments and other specials activities on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23.  The original Gold Mine store was established in 1981, the north store was added in 2008.  Both stores help support critical programs and services provided by the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan such as free community playgroups, domestic abuse and sexual assault services, counseling, child care and employment and educational services. Gold Mine Resale Shops also provided more than $7,000 worth of free vouchers to survivors of abuse, as well as to those that experienced loss during house fires or simply found themselves in a difficult situation this past year.  Gold Mine Resale Shop North, open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., is located at 1878 North US-31 Highway, Petoskey.
