Relationships can be healthy, unhealthy or abusive. Abusive relationships have a pattern of intentional behavior by one partner to gain and maintain control over the other partner. Controlling behaviors may include intimidation, threats, maintaining total control over financial resources, and isolation from friends, family and work.
