Lite 96.3 donation drive supports families at the Safe Home
Lite 96.3 will host a non-perishable food drive to support women and children staying at the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan’s Safe Home. Items donated to the drive help provide a much-needed feeling of ‘home’ for survivors of domestic abuse who are working to regain control of their lives. The event has become a pre-Thanksgiving tradition and will be held at Oleson’s Food Stores, 2000 US-31 North in Petoskey from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20.
Tim Nixon of Lite 96.3 (left) and Jamie Winters, Safe Home Coordinator will have copies of the ‘Safe Home Needs List’ to help people plan their gifts of non-perishable foods, household supplies and personal care items. The Needs List is also available online at wrcnm.org.
