Your voice and your actions create a safer world for future generations

Positive change starts with people who are committed to making a difference in their communities and encouraging others to do the same. While some actions may seem small on an individual level, together with others they accumulate to create a safer, more compassionate community.

Men play an important role in creating a culture that values respect, consent, and fairness
to help create communities that do not tolerate gender-based violence:

  • Challenge narrow, outdated stereotypes
  • Model empathy, responsibility and respectful relationships
  • Hold those who harm others accountable
  • Promote safe, respectful environments at home, work and in the community
  • Support local organizations dedicated to assisting survivors and ending gender-based violence
  • Speak up or call for help if you hear a friend or family member is harming someone
  • Promote consent in relationships and educate others about its importance
  • Show empathy and offer support if someone you know has been impacted by abuse or assault
  • Talk openly about domestic abuse and sexual assault, raising awareness and reducing stigma
  • Challenge attitudes and language that enable or condone gender-based violence

Your actions and voice create positive change.
Together, we will create safe and thriving communities where everyone can live without fear and violence.
