Volunteers with the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) are an essential part of our organization. They give freely of their time, effort and talents to help make it possible for the WRCNM to continue to provide vital programs and services relied on by adults, children, women and men in our community. As a result of their generosity and caring, we are able to positively impact the health, safety and well-being of those who seek and need our services.

Last year, members of our community donated a total of 5,704 volunteer hours to the WRCNM. Volunteers provide invaluable support to our organization in many areas, such as serving on our Board of Directors, providing information and support to those who call our 24-hour crisis line, assisting Gold Mine Resale Shop customers, helping to prepare mailings, lending a hand to maintain our facilities, encouraging and supporting survivors of domestic abuse at the Safe Home, serving on fundraising committees and sharing special skills/expertise.

National Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 12-18, is a time to shine a light on the significant and positive impact volunteers make every day and every week of the year. At the WRCNM, we are inspired by, and grateful for, our volunteers who truly make a difference in northern Michigan!
