Ward and Eis Gallery in downtown Petoskey hosts Gifts Twice Given, a benefit to support Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan programs and services on Saturday, December 10 and 17.

On these two Saturdays in December, Ward and Eis Gallery donates 20% of all sales to help provide lifesaving and life-changing services for adult and child survivors of abuse and assault provided through Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan.

Gallery owner, Jennifer Eis said many of the store’s customers plan their holiday shopping during the event because they know their purchases also help community members who are healing from the physical and emotional trauma of domestic abuse and sexual assault.

“The Gifts Twice Given benefit is part of the gallery’s overall philanthropic effort to support local people in need of sustenance, shelter and the support that strengthens the mind, body and spirit,” Eis said.

Gail Kloss, the center’s executive director said, “Ward and Eis Gallery has remained steadfast and intentional in their charitable support of local nonprofits for 39 years. That ongoing support is creating a stronger, more resilient community.”

Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan provides a 24-hour help and information line, the Safe Home for women and their family members seeking refuge from domestic abuse and sexual assault, counseling and advocacy services, employment and educational services, children’s educational programming and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

Ward and Eis Gallery is located at 315 East Lake Street in Petoskey. For more information, call the gallery at (231) 347-2750.
