Ward and Eis Gallery manager, Kathy Goodwin, (from left), owner Jennifer Eis and Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) Executive Director, Gail Kloss discuss the gallery’s upcoming benefit as Aanii looks on. The gallery will donate 20% of store sales to support WRCNM programs and services on December 8 and 15.

Ward and Eis Gallery in downtown Petoskey continues a tradition of giving back to the community by donating 20% of in-store purchases on Saturday, December 8 and 15, to the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM).

“Many longtime gallery customers plan their shopping on the two Saturdays prior to Christmas, because they know the gifts they purchase also help fund much-needed programs and services offered by the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan,” said gallery owner, Jennifer Eis. “During the rush of the holidays, people crave more meaningful gift-giving opportunities and the ‘gifts twice given’ benefit gives shoppers a bit more purpose to their holiday purchases,” said Eis.

Ward and Eis Gallery also provides charitable support to several area non-profits through the donation of 3% of all annual sales, 100% of the proceeds from a book they authored titled Magpie Papers and 20% of sales from a Thanksgiving sales benefit. To date, the gallery has donated a total of $436,000 back to the community.

“The Conscious Capitalism movement or the Thriving Petoskey initiative launched by the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce need only look at Ward and Eis Gallery as an example of purpose beyond profit and how one business can make a large impact in the community,” said WRCNM Executive Director, Gail Kloss.

Ward and Eis Gallery is located at 315 East Lake Street, in the heart of Petoskey’s Gaslight District, and can be reached at (231) 347-2750.
