Ward and Eis Gallery in downtown Petoskey continues a tradition of giving back to the community by donating 20% of purchases on Saturday, December 14 and 21, to Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan to support essential services for women, children and families.
“Ward and Eis Gallery has shown longevity and consistency in their desire to give back to the community with the Gifts Twice Given benefit and their other philanthropic efforts,” said Gail Kloss, Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan executive director. “It is inspiring to all of us at the Women’s Resource Center and beneficial to our organization and other local nonprofits providing services to those in need of sustenance, shelter and the support that strengthens the mind, body and spirit.”
Jennifer Eis, owner of Ward and Eis Gallery said many of her customers plan their holiday shopping on the two Gifts Twice Given Saturdays in December because they know their purchases will help fund much-needed programs and services provided by the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet and Otsego counties.
Ward and Eis Gallery also provides charitable support to several area non-profits by donating 2% of all annual sales, 100% of the proceeds from the book Magpie Papers co-authored by Jennifer Eis and Don Ward, and 20% of sales from a Thanksgiving sales benefit. To date, the gallery has donated a total of $460,000 back to the community.
