Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) recently accepted a donation of food, supplies and a financial contribution from The Zonta Club of Charlevoix.  The food and supplies will help restock pantry shelves at the Safe Home which provides support and shelter to survivors of domestic abuse and their children.  The financial donation supports the WRCNM’s Educational and Employment Services which offers academic advising, educational scholarships, job search assistance and career guidance to those looking to enter or re-enter the workforce.   The donations reflect the club’s focus on awareness and prevention of violence against women and align their service activities with Zonta’s international campaign, called “Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women”.  Pictured receiving the donations are (from left) Jamie Winters, WRCNM Safe Home coordinator; Zonta members Joan Buday and Judith Schneider; and Carrie Harrison, WRCNM administrative assistant.
